Fish Creek Bowls Club – a Brief History
The Fish Creek Bowls Club was opened on September 30th 1967.
Local community members prepared the site whilst professional services were engaged to construct the green.
The land was donated by John Terrill as part of Terrill Park as it is known today.
In the early days our club borrowed space in the football club for our clubhouse and the now distinctive clubhouse, which opened in 1974 with up-to-date amenities, are rewards for which all subscribers may be justly proud.
In June 1999 our new synthetic green was started, finishing in November 2000.
Many foundation members worked tirelessly to create what is today a wonderful club with an excellent synthetic green , an up to date and pleasing clubhouse and most importantly, a friendly and welcoming environment.
